Weekend Post: Cocktails and Sheep

This weekend dad needed help dagging the sheep, so I helped shift them through the races and separate the lambs from the sheep (we did the lambs last week). It stops the sheep from getting more grubby and helps keep any flies away going into summer. 

This was pre-shearing but I'm just pleased with how brown I am after using my Loving Tan Ultra Dark tanning mousse. The photo doesn't do it justice - I think I'll need to do a post on it later on, it's a beautiful product and lasts such a long time.

 In the evening I was due at a cocktail party - Harvey Wallbangers and a Pink Paradise were what I went for. Am I the only person that's guaranteed a hangover if I drink champagne?

I posted more on instagram (whee I have instagram) which is linked on the sidebar if you're interested. I wore high waisted Levis jeans, a drapey top, white singlet and Jeffrey Campbells. I had no idea what to do with my makeup so naturally I just went for my usual winged eyeliner and added some xobeauty lashes - the same as what I was wearing the other weekend - called The Flirt.

The anal-retentive person in me wouldn't allow three portrait photos when all the rest of my blog photos are landscape. So I made a collage...anyway here's my outfit for the night. Today I've just been playing with my new phone like mad (I am absolutely in love with it might I add). Aside from that a spot of gardening and a lot of drafting for the next week - work is busier than ever and I'm trying to make sure I can stay on top of everything. Another fairly quiet weekend all in all but I'll be heading back into the city next week - feels like it's been absolutely ages since I was there.

Weekend Post: Bit of Orange

I had every intention of getting a lot of fun stuff done this weekend e.g. seeing Maze Runner, going to my favourite place - Newmarket and watching the All Blacks. Sadly due to a sick boyfriend none of that was possible so this post isn't going to be as "busy"as my weekend posts usually are. However, I did happen to get a photo of the outfit I wore yesterday. 

Do you ever have those days that are a "waste of makeup" if I've ever had one it was yesterday. However I have more xobeauty lashes, Nars sheer glow and another Lime Crime Velvetine on their way. After a long as shit week I was really looking forward to it. Instead I'll be sitting in, scrubbing with Frank and tanning my pale as snow bod and painting my nails orange again. Boss.

Been a little unmotivated to write this week - it's been a hell of a seven days but I do have a few posts lined up. Phew. Fingers crossed next week is a little better.

The Weekend Post

Weekends just seem to fly by this year - though this weekend seems to have brought on the start of spring. Amazingly I managed to wear my new Monki shorts on Sunday.

I clean forgot to take my camera to my boyfriend's place on Saturday but all we really did was play GTA 5 and watch the All Blacks at night.

Sunday is always my "productive" day so much like every other Sunday I did my boring adult things like laundry, vacuuming and cleaning.

Once that was over it was time to do my more relaxing bits i.e. watch youtube videos, read blogs and gardening.

 "Action shots" of my chai tea making process - if you live in New Zealand, England or Australia I highly recommend T2 chai tea. (If you are in England to my knowledge the only store is in Shoreditch) I like to add extra cinnamon (which is in the little green tin). Once I'd made this I settled in to watch some vlogs and get ideas for new posts.

After that, I had to enjoy the sun. We haven't had a day in New Zealand that's been both warm AND sunny in some time. Also my seeds from last weekend are now growing into plants so were in dire need of moving to a larger pot.

 My kale are coming along nicely and the flowers are only just starting to peek through the soil but fingers crossed once spring is properly here I'll have some plants to put in the ground.

Seeing as it is such a sunny day naturally I needed to break in my new shorts as mentioned. Shocking at taking photos of myself so I had to rope mum into it.

 Tinted moisturiser with SPF (Nars Radiant Tinted moisturiser as always *ahem*) and Gimme Brow make for my "no makeup" makeup look. Tied back hair and my standard jewellery - Michael Kors watch, Meadowlark earrings and Pandora rings. Merino jersey is from Country Road and my high waisted shorts were from ASOS.

I've also finally broken out the more "summery" nail colours. The photos above didn't really do the colour justice but the colour is Hot and Spicy by OPI.

Fingers crossed I may have a more exciting post for next weekend - it is pay week next week after all!
